Since March, many people have been starting new workout trends as a way to stay active at home. With the rise of many social media platforms, various fitness influencers have taken advantage of the stay at home orders and quarantines across the globe.
I fell victim to many workout and diet fads throughout the pandemic until I came across Chloe Ting workout reviews on TikTok. At first, I was skeptical. I was worried that the results were too good. I kept seeing transformation videos for the Two Week Shred Challenge and they were impressive. None of the videos looked too intense, so I decided to try it.
I failed. Miserably.
If you are not mentally prepared for what you are about to endure, you probably will not succeed at the two week shred. I felt defeated and embarrassed even though I was the only person that knew that I had failed. It was not my size or my weight that was holding me back from being successful, but I was not ready to challenge myself at that intensity level yet.
Instead, I decided to browse Chloe’s other workouts to see if she had anything else to offer. I chose to do a thigh slimming challenge that focuses on inner thighs and abs which is what I wanted to work on for myself the most anyway. It was a 28-day challenge ranging from 15-45 minutes a day of physical activity. The only equipment necessary was a yoga mat.
In the first two weeks of the challenge, I lost seven pounds because I was focused on healthy eating and doing a lot of other active things throughout the day. In the last two weeks of the challenge, I lost a few more pounds but noticed how much more defined and toned I was. I was happy with the results and felt much better mentally.
I enjoyed having all of the workouts laid out for me as I went through this challenge and appreciated the variety on a day to day basis. The workouts are completely free and you always knew how long it was going to take you to complete.
Chloe’s website and YouTube channel are very organized and accessible for everyone. She always makes her viewers feel very comfortable, provides alternative exercises for people that cannot do certain exercises or are injured and creates a safe and welcoming space.
After successfully completing the thigh slimming challenge, I feel much more confident in my abilities to complete some of her other challenges and would highly recommend them to people of various ages, abilities and experience.
